Lorraine Auchter

Lorraine has been a registered and licensed occupational therapist since 2000 when she graduated from the University of Oklahoma. As an occupational therapist, she has worked in a variety of settings, including a hospital, homes, schools and private clinic.  Lorraine opened Sensational Kids, Inc. in January of 2003. Lorraine is SIPT Certified, indicating extensive training related to sensory processing. She has also received specialized training in feeding issues through the SOS and TalkTools® programs. Other trainings include Handwriting Without Tears®; Therapeutic Listening; Level 1 Mentorship with the Sensory Processing Disorder Foundation; Floortime and Families; Visual Deficits and Treatment courses; Beckman Oral Motor Training; Picture Exchange and Communication System (PECS); Dyslexia and ADHD training; TBRI; and extensive training on Autism Spectrum Disorders. Lorraine was honored to accept the 2015 OT of the Year Award from the Oklahoma Occupational Therapy Association (OKOTA). In her spare time, Lorraine enjoys spending time with her family, including her 4 granddaughters, traveling, gardening, hiking, riding bikes, and reading. She actively performs volunteer work through her church and Impact Oklahoma.
